The Czech company Bomma presented unusual pendant lamps to the public during the Paris Design Week.
When the Svelta factory closed after nearly a century of glassmaking, the founder of Bomma took personal responsibility for the construction of the new factory and the fate of the highly skilled craftsmen and engineers who were left out of business..
Today, three years after its opening, Bomma is a name that brings together everything: the craftsmanship of old artisans, innovative technologies, and ultra modern design..
At Maison & Object 2015, Bomma’s new TIM collection has a bombshell effect.
The greatest pride of the company is the cleanest glass in the Czech Republic. Obviously they succeeded.
Simple in its essence, but stunning in its effect, the TIM series was created in collaboration with designers Michal Fronek and Jan Nemecek from Olgoj Chorchoj studio.
The collection consists of two super large lamps and three glass domes similar to bells .
It took all the skill of the glass blowers to make a flask weighing almost 23 kg. Each item of the collection is made by hand and therefore unique and inimitable.
And in the interior of your home you can imagine such a work of glass art?
