Moving to a new apartment is always stressful, albeit very exciting. Even if the apartment is rented. Just furnish your home «from scratch» – task with an asterisk and not for every wallet. Even if IKEA has just opened in your city. And if you want to furnish your habitat with something exclusive, unusual, then you can’t do without a loan at all. Well, or take the situation into your skillful hands (literally) and make original interior details yourself. Moreover, some may cost you no more than $ 1.
Wherever you move, you can hardly do without a chandelier. And its design will obviously not go unnoticed by guests. Although the original lamp is not a cheap pleasure, especially for a young wallet. All these thoughts inspired the young female designer from America to create his own version of the lighting fixture. And at the same time spend no more than $ 1 on it.
You will need:
1. Plywood sheet;
2. Colored tape of original color;
3. Light bulb;
4. Super glue
Step 1
Using a stencil, cut 8 versatile triangles from the plywood with a 12 cm base.They should be empty in the middle, as in the photo (side «empty» triangle – 7 cm).
Step 2
Wrap each of the triangles with colored tape so that one of the sides is completely and evenly closed. By the way, the author of the project does not use scotch tape, but a yellow tape with the inscription «caution» («Caution»), which the police usually close the scene of crimes or road accidents from curious onlookers.
Step 3
Using super glue, fasten instead of 4 triangles into a pyramid.
Step 4
Cut a square out of the board, then cut a hole in it for the bulb holder. Secure the inside of the pyramid with glue.
Step 5
Glue the rest of the triangles to make a diamond.
Step 6
Add a couple more layers of ribbon for a vibrant, uniform print.
Step 7
Your designer lamp is ready!
