You cannot do without light in a tent in autumn. Many of us are waiting for this time of the year to go to nature and enjoy its beauty or just spend time in the garden. Some prefer elaborate tents for recreation, while others pitch tents in the backyard behind the house. But there is something more interesting!

Giant Grass Company
Designed by Giant Grass (Melbourne), «onion» Froute Pod seems to grow out of the ground. It is installed on a wooden platform (in the original version, the developers used recycled pallets) so that moisture does not penetrate inside. The founders of the company are architects Munir and Mittul Vahanvati, both of whom have extensive experience with materials such as bamboo. Here’s how they comment on their work:
«Our design approach is based on the use of bamboo stems in their natural shape. We are also exploring its other possibilities, while maintaining the overall integrity of the material. Our projects are based on a hollow bamboo stem – cut, sawn or split.»

At the base of the Froute Pod tent lies an octagon, 3 meters wide and 2.4 meters high. The interior can accommodate a double bed, and the waterproof cover has two petal-like doors that can be opened to allow fresh air to enter. This makes the design more flexible – you can change it at your discretion. The tent has two more round windows and a hole in the very center at the top.

Although the Froute Pod is not the lightest tent model, when assembled it is compact and easy to transport. In addition, the designers claim that it can be assembled by two people in 45 minutes..
