Perch Light is a collection of lamps designed by the London-based Turkish designer Umut Yamac.
Spring nature, the image of a bird sitting on a branch and abstract origami combined in the form of an elegant lamp.
The plafond bird is made of synthetic paper, the support structure is made of brass and gold-plated steel, the auxiliary elements are made of cork.
Lamps are perfectly balanced with top and tail metal counterweights, but the slightest breeze or touch of the hand sets the structure in motion.
The electrical wires are hidden inside the case, so it looks like a loose bird that can flutter at any moment.
The collection of lamps from Umut Yamak includes several options – table, pendant, floor (floor lamp) and sconces. Lamps are produced in small quantities, so the interior with lighting fixtures of unusual design will be stylish and exclusive.
The Design Museum offers visitors a selection of images from the Perch Light series.
