The man behind this wooden pendant lamp is American designer John Prokario. He is young enough, but has already become famous for his unusual works – furniture and interior items made of wood. His love of sculpture and light is embodied in an extremely simple yet intricate object called Flux I.
This lamp, like other Prokario products, is unique in that the wood in its image demonstrates a rather unusual state for itself. The Flux I uses long timber planks that have been steamed to give them sufficient flexibility.
