Designer Ingo Maurer (Ingo Maurer) loves to spend evenings in the country. And then one day, sitting in his favorite chair and watching how various insects flock to the light of an ordinary light bulb, he came up with a brilliant idea.

Ingo Maurer decided to create a lamp around which charming butterflies, moths and dragonflies would curl. Graham Owen helped the designer to bring the idea to life, who creates each insect by hand..
All insects are handmade by Graham Owen.
Butterfly lamps are not just lighting fixtures, they are real works of art. The luminaire consists of a conventional halogen lamp wrapped in a matte white Teflon strip. Insects are attached to this strip with needles.
