«Juniper house» – house in «camouflage».
Living in harmony with nature is now very fashionable. In this regard, some use environmentally friendly building materials for their homes, others install energy-saving technologies, and still others simply make the facades of houses look like a natural environment. A similar building built in Sweden because of its green «camouflage» became almost invisible against the background of a juniper grove.
Architectural project of the Swedish company Murman Arkitekter.
The Swedish architecture firm Murman Arkitekter is the author of an original country house called «Juniper house». When you look at it, it seems that the facade of the building reflects the juniper bushes growing nearby on the site. In fact, the perimeter of the house is covered with a special vinyl with a matching natural print. To make even more «drain» a house with a surrounding landscape, evergreens were planted only 30 centimeters from the building.
House with «natural» screen.
The covering 35 meters long is attached to a special frame at a distance of 40 centimeters from the walls of the building. In addition to its creative colors, this translucent screen also performs practical functions: it effectively scatters direct sunlight and prevents nosy neighbors from looking inside..
On the back of the house there are wide sliding doors that lead to a small terrace that also serves as the main entrance..

«Juniper house». Interior.
The designers decided to play on contrast and made the interior in light colors. Wooden walls and ceilings are painted white. The pieces of furniture are also matched in matching colors.

Another house whose facade «merges» with nature, located in the Dutch city of Almere. The façade of the Mirror House is entirely reflective glass.
