Israeli architects studio Potash Architects completed the construction of an office in the port of Ashdod, 40 kilometers from Tel Aviv. The choice of material for the building was decided by itself. Experts used old sea containers, which are abundant in the port.

Six containers formed the basis of the office, and the seventh, installed at an angle of 30 degrees, served as a staircase. On the first floor of the building there are exhibition areas, and on the second, the office premises themselves for partial management of the port.

In Israel, the use of shipping containers as a building material is becoming popular. Architectural practice Yoav Messer Architects presented an original project for the construction of a bridge from colorful containers «ECOntainer bridge», which will be located in the park of Ariel Sharon. The structure will be designed for pedestrian crossings, light buses and cyclists.
