Bright kopeck piece in which you are never bored: 45 square meters of solid positive

Bright apartment in Slovenia

Bright apartment in Slovenia

Many do not risk using bright colors in their interior, especially if the area of the apartment is small. But the apartment we looked into today breaks stereotypes about small sizes. It is bright, extraordinary, and its true dimensions at first glance cannot be guessed – the space is so well organized and played with color.

At the crossroads of historic roads

Apartment 45 square meters

Apartment 45 square meters

The apartment is located in the city of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, at the crossroads of the main historical streets. Nearby are the railway station and the old part of the city, which boasts a rich cultural heritage. The main bonus is a magnificent view of the city and the majestic Alps.

Laconic design and bright colors

The area of the apartment does not exceed 45 square meters, but at first it is difficult to determine its size. It seems to be larger and more spacious. Perhaps due to the fact that it has a studio layout. One room has a living room, dining room and kitchen. There is even a small corner for working at the computer..

Laconic furniture of simple shapes also affects the easy perception of the interior. Clean lines, oval shapes, natural materials – all this affects the creation of comfort in a small space.

Nice bonus

Terrace 9 square meters

It is impossible to ignore the fact that the owners of this apartment were lucky not only with the convenient location of the apartment, but also with a large beautiful terrace. Its area reaches 9 square meters. Here you can arrange pleasant gatherings with friends. Such a balcony made it possible to make a wide panoramic window, so natural light literally floods the entire apartment.

Multicolor

Despite the fact that the main color background of the interior is rather restrained, the apartment looks bright and unusual. This is because white walls and a light floor are complemented by juicy color splashes. Multicolor meets us from the doorway – there is a rack here, painted in the colors of the sun – yellow, orange and red. A small mirror was also placed in a bright frame..

In the kitchen area, attention is drawn to a red refrigerator, green dishes and a slate-coated partition, where guests can leave wishes to the owners of the apartment.

Colors in this interior were not spared. There are notes of positive even in the dining room and living room – yellow plates on the table and a green sofa (by the way, it has an extra sleeping place).

Cultural heritage

Designing this apartment, the designers of the studio GAO architects wanted to bring a cultural flavor to it. The first reference to it is bright colors, which speak of the originality and optimism of the Slovenes. The ceiling in the hallway is decorated with inscriptions in Slovenian, and in the living room on the ceiling you can explore the country’s railway tracks.

In the bedroom, one of the walls is decorated with a photo wallpaper depicting an architectural monument created by the famous Slovenian architect Jože Plečnik. They once again remind of the location of the apartment in the historic district, and, moreover, visually enlarge the room. She seems to be standing in the middle of a large square.

In the creation of this interior, furniture and materials from Slovenian designers and brands were used to once again emphasize the Slovenian modern flavor. There was even a place for cultural heritage in the bathroom. Some of the walls here were lined with panels that were created according to the model of traditional Slovenian frescoes exhibited in the Museum of Ljubljana Castle.
