This house, called Cubby, is considered a great example of how to remodel a small house from a garage. It was once owned by the architect Bernard Maybeck, who built it for himself. This was a forced measure, since the fire destroyed his previous house, and the author had to urgently look for a new home. However, he chose to build it himself.

«Cubby» divided into two rooms with a total area of 67.3 square meters. The living room is combined with the kitchen and dining room. The second room is the bedroom. Over time, the architect expanded the usable space by adding an additional area to the building, in which he equipped a bathroom.
