An ordinary boring hanger near the front door can be replaced with a bright art object that will become a real decoration of the hallway. You can build a wall hanger with your own hands from a board and cute door handles, while it will look beautiful and modern.
Materials
Here’s what you need to get started:
- wood board;
- door handles of any type and shape – to your taste;
- paint for wooden surfaces in two colors (match colors in accordance with the interior design of the hallway);
- masking tape of small width;
- paint brushes (wide and narrow);
- scissors, pencil, screwdriver or screwdriver;
- hangers for the board (from 2 to 4 pieces).
Job
- Making a wall hanger with your own hands begins with preparing the board for painting. It should be dry and clean, or better yet, sanded “zero”.
- We glue masking tape in accordance with the selected pattern.
- We paint with two paints on different sides of the tape, wait until the paint “will grab”, and remove the tape.
- We apply the selected door handles to the board, find the optimal position and mark it with a pencil.
- We remove the handles and, according to the marks, drill holes in which we fix the handles with screws.
- On the reverse side, we fix the suspensions, mark their position on the wall and drill holes for the dowels.
- We screw the screws into the dowels and hang a new art object on them!
