This contemporary country house is located in Maureen Heights, Quebec, Canada and was designed by la SHED architecture.
The residence is located on the edge of a slope surrounded by woods, next to the ski resort of Morin Heights. In order for the house to blend in with the landscape, it was conceived as a single level.
The exterior of this modern country house is made of cedar planken, which over time will take on a gray tint and the mansion will be even more invisible behind the trunks of the surrounding trees. The accent in this simple and elongated home is the white niche openings in which the windows are installed.
The interior of the kitchen in this private house consists of two large islands, which are functional and also create a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen is the center of the house, with a living and dining room on either side. These spaces extend into an open veranda integrated into the volume of the house. Also, this modern-style country house has three bedrooms, a recreation room and a small office..
