House-Ark from Russian architects.
Modular houses are very popular in the West. They are comfortable, practical and affordable, but most of them can only be lived in during the summer. Russian architects solved this problem and presented a project of a house with an area of only 37.2 sq. meter in which you can live all year round.

Architects Vladimir Yuzbashev and Natalya Brailovskaya from the Arch-Project-3 bureau have developed a project for a modular house called Dom-Kovcheg. The building area is 37 sq. meters. Despite such a modest size, everything inside the house is well planned and suitable for a comfortable stay.
The Ark House is manufactured in the factory..
An important advantage of the Ark House is that you can live in it all year round, and not only in the summer, as is often done in Europe. The architects used environmentally friendly materials: natural pine and basalt wool (for insulation). The thickness of the wool is 150 mm in the walls and 200 mm – in the floor covering. In addition, the developers took care of steam and moisture insulation. Double-glazed windows are 45 mm wide, while standard windows are only 30-40 mm wide.
So that the frame does not dry out, the boards are attached to each other at different angles.
The architects note that they also coped with the problem of the wooden frame drying out by using a system of fastening the boards to each other at different angles..
Installing a modular house.
The timing of the manufacture of the Ark House is pleasantly surprising. The finished building can be received within 3-4 weeks after ordering. Modules are brought to the site already with built-in fixtures and fittings. The house is installed on a pile screw foundation and is connected to all necessary communications.

At the moment, the Arch-Project-3 bureau can offer potential customers four types of modular houses of different sizes, starting with an area of 37 sq. meters and ending with 75.3 sq. meters. The price ranges from 1.35 million rubles to 2.7 million rubles, respectively. Two similar houses have already been purchased and are located in the Moscow and Vladimir regions.

Another unusual project designed for a harsh winter was presented by a 29-year-old Canadian who made a house out of containers, in which you can survive 42-degree frosts..
