The house of an unusual shape was built by Dutch architects on the private island of Kostverlorenkade, which area is only 1200 sq. meters. The mansion is located in a quiet, peaceful place, away from major cities. On a green lawn near the water, a strange at first glance building sparkles with glass edges of the walls, which carries a combination of novelty and tradition.
The mansion area is 500 square meters. When designing a house of an unusual shape, the architects were inspired not only by the pictures of the surrounding nature, but also by the famous skyscrapers “Rembrandt tower” and “Süd As”, and even airplanes flying over the roof to Schiphol airport.
The interiors are functional and “uncovered” from the inside to the outside using glass walls that take up a significant area.
On the 2nd floor of the house of an unusual shape there is a living room and a kitchen. In style, they resemble attic spaces in Dutch houses..
Bedrooms with baths are on the first level. They offer a magnificent panoramic view of the garden.
The basements are used for exercise equipment and a room for watching movies. In general, the structure fits harmoniously into the surrounding landscape and was nominated for the award for architects Gouden Amsterdam.Architecture.Prize.
