The interior design of the wooden house turned out to be unique, although the simplest means were used: the facade is decorated with trusses and trellises, and their pattern is repeated in the design of the rooms. Quite simple decoration complemented by interesting furniture and expressive decorative elements.
Plan
The general plan of the house is simple: the first floor is reserved for a large living room with a fireplace, supplemented by a library, and a dining room combined with a kitchen. There is also a guest room. On the ground floor there is also a spa area with a pool, which has access to the veranda.
On the second floor above the living room there is a huge cinema and a games room. From the cinema hall the entrance to the master bedroom, children’s rooms and study. There is a bathroom for everyone in this house. The attic is reserved for guest rooms with their own bathroom and dressing room.
Style
The interior of a wooden house from a bar turned out to be eclectic. It combines elements of Provence and the style of estates near Moscow, in particular, the famous Abramtsev.
The designers aimed to create “dacha” the mood of the early twentieth century, and they did it through decorative details that look organic against the background of quite modern forms and finishes.
Color solution
The exterior facades of the house are made in two basic colors – white and gray with a bluish tint. In the interior of a house made of laminated veneer lumber, the main color is the color of natural wood. Such restraint in the color scheme is explained by the complexity of the structural forms both outside and inside the house..
Finishing
The main element of the interior design of a wooden house is the architectural structures of the ceiling and the figuratively laid parquet. For each room, a unique pattern of planks was chosen.
The main finishing material is wood, which is on the floor, on the ceiling and on the walls. Only in some rooms is the floor tiled with ceramic tiles. From the inside, the tree is impregnated with a special compound.
The cross-beams on the ceiling are painted white in places. The floor is made of oak planks of different widths, as a result they form a kind of “track”. White beams are supported by white eaves and baseboards of the same color, they are in harmony with white furniture and doors, and also hide the cracks formed during the settlement of the house.
If the interior of a house made of laminated veneer lumber turned out to be almost monochrome, then the facade is intentionally made in contrast: against the background of white walls, gray-blue structural elements stand out clearly.
Furniture
All pieces of furniture were selected taking into account the structure of the ceiling and the pattern of the parquet, which set the rhythmic movement in each room. Some items are white, some are natural wood.
A bright green chest of drawers on one of the stairs, a tribute to the Provence style, acts as an accent spot.
The shape of the furniture for the interior of a wooden house from a bar is quite simple, almost classic. All of it is very functional, and has a certain touch of Provence. For this project, they chose real vintage items, as well as replicas.
On the second floor, in the rooms intended for children, racks were installed, ordered according to the sketches of designers.
Storage
Since the interior design of a wooden house is made in the nostalgic vintage style of an old manor, wardrobes would look like a foreign body in it. In addition, the space made it possible to dwell on the classics – spacious dressers as the main storage systems. They are available in almost all premises.
Shelves are additionally provided in the living room, and in the kitchen the kitchen unit itself acts as the main storage system. Things “out of season” cleaned in dressing rooms, which are available in each bedroom.
Lighting
Architectural elements of complex shapes from beams were created on the ceiling of the structure, which determined the places for the location of the light elements. For the interior of a wooden house, high-quality lamps were selected from a bar, which, moreover, should have become a decorative decoration..
Basically, chandeliers, sconces and floor lamps are made in a classic style with elements of Provence, but in the living room they are perfectly combined with completely modern metal suspensions, shaped like salad bowls.
Decor
The designers used the personal belongings of the owners from their collections as decor items. Wooden fairy-tale figurines and paintings of the artist from Georgia organically complemented the interior of the house made of laminated veneer lumber.
Textile decor elements are of great importance in this house, almost all bedspreads and pillows, curtains, furniture covers were made to order according to the author’s sketches. Candlesticks in the old style, decorative vases and plates successfully complemented the overall picture and created the same country mood.
