Marine mollusk-inspired Circle House – house with «green» technologies.
Architects never cease to amaze modern inhabitants with their non-standard projects of residential buildings. Once again, they offer to give up «boxes», and, imitating natural shelters, settle in a snail house, «stuffed with» energy-saving technologies.
Architectural project of the Romanian design studio Razvan Barsan + Partners.
Romanian design studio Razvan Barsan + Partners has presented a concept for a residential building with a non-standard layout called Marine mollusk-inspired Circle House. Inside, the dwelling is twisted in a spiral and resembles the shape of sea mollusks.

Concrete, metal, gypsum and glass were used as the main building materials. The rounded shape of the house will have not only aesthetic, but also practical purpose: the sun’s rays will be able to penetrate inside throughout the day..

The house will also apply «green» technology. A rainwater harvesting system will allow water to be used for lawn irrigation, solar panels will make it possible not to depend on city electricity, and reflective panels will reduce the need for an air conditioner.
